Cricket coaches recognised at OSCAs

Hertfordshire County Cricket Association (HCCA) held their Awards Night on 15 September at the Hatfield Oak Hotel. As well as the NatWest Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs), there were four coaching awards.

Club Coach of the Year went to Sagheer Ahmed of Bushey Cricket Club. A level 2 coach, Sagheer is the Junior Cricket Manager and Club Development officer at the Bushey club.

Bushey Cricket Club also provided the winner in the Young Coach of the Year category, with Chris Dunsby stepping up to take the award.

There were two awards for coaches of the county’s junior teams. Mark Stear was named Boys Representative Coach of the Year, having taken the Under 15 Boys team to the county final of their division.

Nikki Little is one of the HCCA Cricket Development Officers and she collected her award for Girls Representative Coach of the Year on crutches! Nikki is a level 2 coach and plays her cricket for Letchworth CC. Her Under 13 county team won their league.
